IIT Kanpur Campus Placement 2022: The placement season has begun at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and it was the first day of campus placements for the academic year 2022-23 at IIT Kanpur on 1st December.
The first ended on high note of the 519 offers, 227 were pre-placement offers (PPOs). The highest domestic offer received on the first day was Rs 1.9 crore. A total of 33 students received offers of over Rs 1 crore at the end of the first day.
Top recruiters like Capital One, SAP Labs, Rakuten Mobile, Enphase, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, Square Point Capital visited the campus this season for hiring.
Last year, the highest package at the end of the first phase of the placement season was $287,550 for international and Rs. 1.2 crores for domestic. This year, there was an overall increase in packages offered and induction of new recruits.
“We’re delighted with the number of offers that have come our way at the start of the placement season 2022-23. The overall uptick in packages offered and new recruiters joining in, signifies the growing trust the recruiters have on IIT Kanpur,” Abhay Karandikar, director, IIT Kanpur said.
So far, a total of 72 international offers have been received by IIT Kanpur this season, as compared to 47 international offers received during the last year.
