Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Goa Satellite Center of the All India Institute of Ayurveda on Sunday, December 11, 2022. With this, the satellite center in Goa will open doors of education in the field of Ayurveda to the students of Konkan and surrounding areas.
The location of the institute in Goa, a hub of tourists from all over the world, will also provide some of the best tertiary care facilities like Panchakarma and act as a catalyst in making the state a hub of medical tourism activities.
All India Institute Of Ayurveda, New Delhi:
The All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi has already made a mark in the public health infrastructure as a tertiary care center that has played an essential role and has benefited more than 15 lakh patients in the last five years.
It provides treatments in 36 specialty areas, including Panchakarma, Diet, Lifestyle, Yoga and Ayurveda, and clinical technology that is supported with ultra-modern diagnostic techniques including ICU.

The Goa satellite centre of All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), situated in Dhargal village of Pernem Taluka in North Goa, provides a perfect blend of ancient wisdom and modern technology in the field of tertiary care services.
Similar services will now be available in Goa as well. While the practice of Ayurveda will benefit from the biodiversity and medicinal plants found in the region, the AIIA satellite center in Goa, which is an international tourist destination, will also boost the potential of medical tourism in the country,” said Professor Dr. Tanuja Manoj. Nesari, Director, All India Institute of Ayurveda, talking about the institute.
The satellite centre in Goa, with its sprawling 50-acre campus, is modeled along the same lines to offer preventive, diagnostic and tertiary healthcare facilities. The Goa Centre will also offer academic courses at undergraduate including 12 UG courses already offered at AIIA – New Delhi as well as new courses including Sharir Rachna and Agada Tantra.
The institute boasts an academic block, a hostel, a convention centre, a sports facility, and a dietary centre. It also offers auxiliary services such as Panchkarma cottages with open area landscaping, a playground and a herbal garden for the holistic well-being of the patients.
