IIT Delhi to organize 4th edition of Industry Day today on 10th December

The fourth edition of the day-long event will provide an opportunity to industry to see how IIT Delhi is working to develop technologies that will benefit both industry and society.

IIT Delhi’s flagship industry-academia partnership event, Industry Day 2022, will be held on today December 10, 2022.

The fourth edition of the day-long event will provide an opportunity to industry to see how IIT Delhi is working to develop technologies that will benefit both industry and society. Top leadership from more than 15 large corporate and business houses will be present at the event.

K Ananth Krishnan, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Tata Consultancy Services, who is also an IIT Delhi alumnus, will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Industry Day 2022 will focus on four themes that are woven into India’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Thematic sessions on healthcare, electric vehicles, communication technology, and clean energy and environment will be attended by industry leaders, scientists, IIT Delhi faculty, research scholars and students, who will deliberate on fundamental concepts and new approaches that will have an effect on civil society as a whole.

About The Industry Day Event:

The annual event will showcase the best of IIT Delhi’s collaborative and interdisciplinary sharing through the breadth of research presented. Over 70 cutting-edge technologies developed by researchers at IIT Delhi will be showcased as product demonstrations on the Day. The event will also feature over 150 industry-relevant concept posters created by students of IIT Delhi.

A few examples of the cutting-edge research that will be on display include an artificial intelligence-based portable device for rapid detection of epilepsy, extremely cold climate clothing for defence personnel, a means of providing power to biomedical devices and healthcare systems, electric vehicle power converters, a hand exoskeleton for paralytics, recyclable syringes for wastewater treatment, technologies for electric vehicles, and many more.

Professor Sunil Kumar Khare, Dean, Corporate Relations, and Research and Development, IIT Delhi, said that the themes and technologies chosen for this year’s Industry Day reflect the needs and perspectives of our internal and external research communities, and will foster industry and academic collaboration to create impact among the various stakeholder communities.
