Prime Minister Narendra Modi To Inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur Today

With the opening of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Bilaspur, the Prime Minister's vision and dedication to improving health care nationwide are once again on display.

Today, October 5, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the All India Institute of Medical Science, Bilaspur (AIIMS Bilaspur). The minister will also give a public speech and lay the cornerstone for projects totaling more than Rs 3650 crore in addition to opening AIIMS Bilaspur. PM Modi will take part in today’s Kullu Dussehra festivities at the Dhalpur Stadium.

With the opening of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Bilaspur, the Prime Minister’s vision and dedication to improving health care nationwide are once again on display. The Hospital is being built as part of the Central sector programme, and the Prime Minister also placed the hospital’s foundation stone in October 2017. the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Bilaspur is a cutting-edge hospital with 750 beds, 64 ICU beds, 18 specialty and 17 super speciality departments, 18 modular operating rooms, with a construction budget of more than Rs 1470 crore. The 247-acre hospital has a 30-bed AYUSH block as well as 24-hour emergency and dialysis services, contemporary diagnostic equipment such an MRI, CT scan, and ultrasound, Amrit Pharmacy, and Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

The Prime Minister will officially lay the cornerstone for a nearly 31 km long, over Rs. 1690 crore, project to widen NH 105 from Pinjore to Nalagarh. He will formally dedicate the Medical Device Park in Nalagarh, which would cost roughly Rs 350 crore to construct. The initiative will greatly increase the region’s job prospects. In Bandla, Mr. Modi will also dedicate the Government Hydro Engineering College.

The institution, which is estimated to have cost Rs 140 crore, would aid in providing skilled labour for hydropower projects, in which Himachal Pradesh is one of the leading states. It will support young skill development and offer lots of work possibilities in the hydropower industry.
