CBSE Board Exam 2023: According to Controller of Examination Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the schedule for the Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams in December.
Additionally, the pre-pandemic material will be used for the CBSE Board Exam 2023 for students in classes 10 and 12 the following year. In other words, the 30% syllabus reduction that had been granted to students in response to the learning loss caused by the interruption caused by COVID has been reversed. Exams for both courses will start on February 15, 2023.
“There’s no chance of announcing the date sheet now. It will come in December and when it does students will be able to access it on our website,” said Bhardwaj, on the rumors regarding date sheet announcement in the next few days. “That apart, the exam will be based on 100% syllabus like it was in the academic year 2019-20,” he added.
The Board has also opted to bring back the single-exam structure from before the epidemic, so the Class 10 and 12 board examinations won’t likely be divided into two sections.
The Term-I board examinations were held in November and December of last year, and the Term-II exams are set to begin on April 26. For the 2021–22 academic year, the CBSE established a split model with two terms. Officials from the Board claim that this was adopted as a stop-gap measure to account for any concerns caused by a new wave of Covid19 instances.
This year, on July 22, CBSE released the results for Classes 10 and 12. The total pass rate for Class 12 was reported by the Board to be 92.71%, while for Class 10 it was reported to be 94.40%.
The Board announced the potential date for the Class 12 examinations next year at the same time it announced the results this year. According to a press announcement from the Board dated July 22, “In light of the lessening impact of the covid pandemic across the globe the Board has decided to conduct 2023 examinations from the 15th of February, 2023,”
