Rural Marketing Association of India Announces 14th edition of Flame Student Awards.

Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI), the industry body of rural marketers, has announced the opening of entries for their flagship event FLAME Student Awards, which is in its 14th edition now.

RMAI’s Flame Student Awards (https://bit.ly/3Ay8ovY), has been recognising best of the projects, undertaken by management students from across India in the rural arena, for the past 13 years. This initiative collates the works carried out by the students of leading B Schools and identify the distinctive studies to confer due recognition.

The earlier editions have seen participation from prestigious institutes like IIMs, IITs, IRMA, FMS, IIFT, XLRI, Xavier, IFS, ICFAI, Great Lakes Institute, WeSchool, Symbiosis to name a few.

Mr. Biswabaran Chakrabarti, President, RMAI, said, “RMAI takes pride in announcing that the coveted Flame Students Award is again being held this year, in its 14th edition in a row. This speaks about the popularity of this event over years and across institutes. We get more than 150 entries every year from leading B-Schools, all of which are packed with insights and learnings. My best wishes to the students who have shown courage in completing their projects in this tough time, and reached out to us.”.

This year, RMAI has announced a concurrent live-project event, Xpand Disrupt-a-thon, to be hosted by LMCE.in (https://bit.ly/3ATItPE), where the participating students will have to build a disrupting B2C assisted model with a business plan and model around the solution statement.

The entries for Flame Student Awards will be accepted till 20th November 2021; whereas the last date to send approach note for Xpand Disrupt-a-thon is till 10th November 2021.

Mr. Sanjay Panigrahi, Key Advisor, LMCE and also Member of National Advisory Board of RMAI said, “Today, Rural Marketing enabled by technology is springing up many an innovative solution removing barriers caused by information asymmetry due to dispersed demand. Coupled with the potential of this market which for example is slotted to reach to min INR 10 lac Crores for FMCG categories by 2025 makes it the cynosure of eyes of all marketers. How to actualise is this opportunity? Innovative ways of working using tech tools is possibly one of the answers. The concurrent Live Project gives an opportunity to students to think out of box and suggest solutions which could even pleasantly surprise and excite the professional Marketers for their novelty making the exercise an exciting and fruitful initiative!
