DTE Goa to use JEE Score and NEET Score for Engineering and Pharmacy Admissions

Earlier, admission to engineering courses in technical institutions in Goa was also done through the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET).

Directorate of Technical Education Goa, (DTE Goa) will use JEE Main and NEET UG scores to admit candidates into its engineering and pharmacy programmes. Earlier, admission to engineering courses in technical institutions in Goa was also done through the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET).

 “Engineering (B.E.) Admissions to degree courses in the State of Goa in the year 2024-25 will be made on the basis of scores/ranks of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in January 2024 and April 2024. 2024,” a statement from Goa DTE said.

For admission to BPharm or Pharmacy programmes, the best aggregate score in Physics and Chemistry either in JEE Main 2024 or NEET UG will be considered. Candidates seeking admission to BPharma courses must apply for NEET UG or JEE Main.

The selection process for Pharmacy B.Pharma degree program in Goa for the academic year 2024-25 will depend on the highest combined score obtained in Physics and Chemistry subjects of JEE-Main 2024 or NEET-2024. Accordingly, candidates seeking admission in B.Pharma. The course can choose to answer JEE-Main 2024 or NEET-2024 or both.

Application for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 is ongoing. JEE Main 2024 exam will be conducted in January and April. Whereas in 2024, NEET UG is scheduled to be held on May 5.
