CJP leader Abhijit Dipke stated that if Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign by 5 PM today, protests will be held across India. Dipke warned that protests would be organized in several cities throughout the week and announced plans for another major demonstration at Jantar Mantar next Saturday.
Social activist Sonam Wangchuk arrived at Jantar Mantar on Saturday to join the protest led by Abhijit Dipke, the founder of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP). Thousands of protesters have gathered there to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Delhi Police granted permission for the protest after Dipke arrived at Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport from the US. Dipke asked protesters to head straight to Jantar Mantar and urged them to bring a book and the Tricolour with them to the protest site. The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ began as a satirical online movement following a remark made by Chief Justice Surya Kant during a hearing.
CJI Kant had compared a section of unemployed youth holding “fake law degrees” to cockroaches. This comment sparked online discussions and eventually inspired the formation of this ‘satirical political movement.’
According to media report prominent figures like social activist Sonam Wangchuk and actor Prakash Raj have also supported this movement.
