Sourav Das, Chief Spokesperson of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), responded on Tuesday to statements made by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut regarding the NEET paper leak agitation, remarking that even MPs and members of her own BJP party do not take her seriously.
Sourav said, “Even MPs and members of her BJP own party do not pay much heed to Kangana Ranaut’s statements or take her seriously, so why should we?” Das further claimed that Gen Z, Gen Alpha, and other younger generations do not take Ranaut seriously either; he noted that she is now a politician.
Das also referred to videos from Kangana Ranaut’s visits to her parliamentary constituency, in which she mentions that she initially thought the work of an MP would not require much effort, but later realised how difficult the job actually is. He remarked, “This reveals the extent of her own seriousness.”
Controversy Over Kangana Ranaut’s Remarks
These comments by Das surfaced after Kangana Ranaut launched a scathing attack on a protest led by the CJP regarding the alleged NEET paper leak. She described a viral video of the protest as “nauseating” and labeled Gen Z as “Generation Gutter.” Reacting to the video, Ranaut stated in an Instagram post that she had never witnessed such ugliness in one place.
She wrote, “The way they speak and the language they use… everything feels strange and absurd in every frame.” Yuck… who is giving birth to and raising them?” Asserting that India is a land of “all kinds of beautiful people, adorned with grace and rooted in cultural understanding,” Ranaut also aimed the CJP.
She wrote, “You call yourselves cockroaches, and you look and behave just like them. There is no contradiction or comparison here; you are simply exposing your filth, garbage, and ugliness to the world.” She added that watching the video left her “deeply shaken” and that she needed “some rest” and a “digital detox.”
Could There be Further Protests?
Meanwhile, the CJP has warned of fresh protests across the country. It has accused the central government of reneging on its promise to withdraw FIRs against protesting students, even though the Supreme Court had granted interim relief to those arrested during the agitation.
This warning came hours after the Supreme Court directed states to release all students under the age of 18, as well as those with no prior criminal record, who had been arrested during nationwide protests against paper leaks. However, the CJP has expressed concern over the part of the order that allows governments to continue with existing FIRs and investigations.
