SBI PO Mains 2026: What is the next step?
The State Bank of India Probationary Officers (SBI PO) Mains Exam is conducted completely online and consists of both an objective test (200 marks) and a descriptive test (50 marks) for a total of 250 marks. The objective paper will last for three hours, with separate time allocations for each section. The descriptive test will be held immediately following the objective exam, and candidates will be required to type their answers on a computer.

You have a strict 30-minute window to score 50 marks by typing two distinct tasks on the computer keyboard. It will evaluate communication skills through tasks like email writing, report writing, situational analysis, and summary writing. Candidates must be aware that marks from the preliminary exam will not be added to the final merit list. The final selection will be based exclusively on the Main exam and Phase III scores. Those who qualify the Main exam criteria will be shortlisted for the final phase, consisting of a psychometric test, group exercise, and personal interview.
