CAT 2022: IIM Bangalore Released Exam Schedule; Registration process will start from August 3
Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) will conduct Common Admission Test 2022 (CAT 2022) this year. The entrance exam for admission to prestigious management colleges in India like IIMs will be conducted on November 27, 2022. Last year, CAT was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad on 28 November. Interested candidates can apply for the CAT 2022 exam at the official website of CAT-iimcat.ac.in
This year, the registration process will start on August 3, 2022 and will end on September 14 at 5 pm. After that, the admit card will be available for download on 27 October from 5 pm. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets from the official website for the examination to be held on November 27. This year, CAT will be conducted in about 150 exam centers spread across cities.
Registration Fee For The CAT Exam:
This year the registration fee for SC, ST and PWD category candidates will be Rs 1150 while for other categories candidates it is Rs 2300. The CAT results are likely to be declared by the second week of January, 2023. CAT 2022 score will be valid only till December 31, 2023.
Eligibility For The CAT Exam:
To be eligible for the exam, interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA, 45 per cent in case of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and persons. Disability (PWD) categories, awarded by any recognized University.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process.
