Homeopathy can become the first choice of students seeking medical education: Ayush Minister.

AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday said that homeopathy can become the first choice for students seeking medical education as it has high public acceptance. The AYUSH minister’s remarks came as he inaugurated a two-day scientific conference on ‘Homeopathy: People’s Choice for Wellness’.
World Homeopathy Day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder, Dr Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann. The three apex bodies of the Ministry of AYUSH, Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, National Commission for Homeopathy and National Institute of Homeopathy organized the event.
The Ayush Minister further said that changes are taking place in the field of AYUSH education, practice and drug development.
He further remarked that the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and the National Commission for Homeopathy have combined AYUSH education with the new education policy and are attracting new talent to the point where AYUSH is not only the first choice for treatment, Rather it could be first choice for students seeking medical education.
AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that homeopathic medicines are easily administered and a large number of people accept them.
According to an official release, he also said that the public acceptance is strong, and people have sought treatment from family physicians for generations.
The delegates of the conference included researchers, scientists from interdisciplinary streams, doctors, students, industrialists as well as representatives of various homeopathic associations.
