BHU University: The Divyang students and people who live in poverty will benefit from two significant programmes that Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has launched.
The University Vice-Chancellor described the programmes, saying that each year Rs. 25,000 will be deposited into the bank accounts of all the divyang students at Banaras Hindu University. Students with BPL cards are eligible for financial aid of Rs. 25,000 annually under the second programme. Additionally, this will be put right into their accounts.
According to Prof. Jain, Banaras Hindu University places a high focus on the welfare of its students and is committed to fostering their overall growth. A number of fresh initiatives have also lately been introduced for the objective. He said that the institution will also think about raising the number of scholarships in the future.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain stated that while institutions and staff members must be understanding of the demands of students with special needs, this alone is insufficient. It is necessary to transform these senses and sensitivities into actions that tangibly benefit the kids.

It has 6 centres of Advanced Studies, 10 Departments under Special Assistance Programme and a large number of specialized Research Centers. Four Degree Colleges of the city are affiliated to the University. Bharat Kala Bhavan, the reputed museum of the university, is a treasure trove of rare collections.
The 927 bed hospital of the University is equipped with all the modern a menities. The university provides a wide range of facilities for sport and hobbies, has large playgrounds, a big auditorium, a flying club and many auxiliary services and units like Printing Press, Publication Cell,Fruit Preservation Center, Subsidized Canteens, Employment and Information Bureau, Security etc.
