XLRI Delhi NCR’s New PGDM Batch Comprises 30.7% Women, With a Significant Increase in the Enrollment of Non-Engineers.

Another notable trend, the institute said, is the balance between engineers and non-engineers within the batch. While the proportion of engineers is still slightly high, i.e. 51.3 per cent, the data suggests a gradual decline in the proportion of engineering graduates over the last four years. In contrast, non-engineers have seen steady growth, making up 48.7 percent of the current group. This shift underlines a broader trend of diversification in academic backgrounds, enriching the learning environment with multiple perspectives and expertise.

Between 2021 and 2024, the proportion of students from non-engineering backgrounds was 35.6% in 2021, 30% in 2022, 37.7% in 2023, and 48.7% in 2024, while the proportion of students from engineering backgrounds was 64.4% in 2021, 70% in 2022. 62.3% in 2023. In 2024 it is 51.3%.

Upon examining the work experience data, the XLRI 2024-26 batch reflects a diverse range of professional backgrounds. A significant portion (33.51 percent) consists of fresh graduates, while others bring varying degrees of work experience, with approximately 40 percent having professional association of more than one year. Twenty-five percent of students have more than two years of experience, which represents a significant portion of the student population.
