IIT Delhi Delhi and AIIMS Delhi to Jointly Set up Centre of Excellence for AI in Healthcare

AIIMS Director Professor M Srinivas and IIT Delhi Director Professor Rangan Banerjee officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a ceremony held at IIT Delhi.

IIT Delhi Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi) and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Delhi) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare. AIIMS Director Professor M Srinivas and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Director Professor Rangan Banerjee officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a ceremony held at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

The initiative on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare aims to create advanced AI-powered solutions to enhance essential national healthcare initiatives. The initiative stems from a Rs 330 crore grant jointly awarded to the two institutions (Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and AIIMS Delhi) by the Ministry of Education under the “Make AI in India, Make AI Work for India” initiative after a rigorous national selection process. The new centre will serve as the key execution body for this ambitious programme.
