On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad published a notice for advising parents and students to exercise caution and avoid becoming victims of online fraud. Only the official website, upmsp.edu.in, will host the announcement of the UP Board results.

The announcement was shared on Twitter by Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) Secretary Dibyakant Shukla. Fraudsters may call parents and pupils and demand money under the pretence of raising test scores on the board. He claimed that the board never makes such demands and that these calls are “hoaxes.”

The secretary explained that these calls are being placed by online scammers and urged students to report any such calls they may have received.

The board flagged a notification earlier this week warning that the rumours circulating about the exam’s announcement on April 5 are untrue.

This year, 58,85,745 pupils signed up to take the UP Board high school and intermediate exams. They included 27,69,258 pupils who registered for intermediate examinations and 31,16,487 students who registered for high school exams.
