NEET PG 2023 Counselling will Start Soon, Number of Seats may be Reduced Under Special Circumstances

NEET PG 2023 Counselling: National Medical Commission (NMC) will soon start the counselling for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2023. NMC has recently released the availability of Recognized / Permitted Post Graduate Board Special Seats for the seat matrix for admission for the academic session. 2023.

The notice states, “The Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has received 2828 applications for recognition/renewal of PG medical qualifications from medical colleges/institutes during the year 2022. So far, the Board has decided on 1870 applications and the decision on the remaining applications is under process.

Existing recognized/permitted PG Board specialty seats available in medical colleges/institutes will be considered for admission for the academic year 2023 and a seat matrix will be prepared accordingly. In special circumstances, the number of seats may also be less.

NEET PG 2023 was conducted on March 5 and the results were declared on March 14. The cut-off for general and EWS categories was 291 out of 800, for general-PWBD it was 274 and for SC, ST and OBC it was 238. Postgraduate counselling consists of 50-50 percent seats for All India Quota and States.
