UPTET 2026 Teacher Eligibility Test Results Released: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has declared the results for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. According to the Commission, 80.07% of candidates who appeared for the primary-level exam and 71.85% of those who appeared for the upper-primary-level exam have qualified.
At the primary level, out of 7,13,648 candidates who took the exam, 5,71,435 were declared successful, resulting in a qualification rate of 80.07%. At the upper-primary level, out of 10,57,021 candidates, 7,59,513 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 71.85%.
The UPTET 2026 written examination was conducted over three days across five shifts at 955 centers in 60 districts. The exam was held in two shifts each on July 2 and 3, and in a single shift on July 4.
Since the exam was conducted in multiple shifts, the result was prepared based on the comparative evaluation process outlined in the exam notification. The Commission stated that this process was adopted due to the large number of registered candidates. Altogether, 19,94,661 candidates registered for UPTET 2026.
Teacher Eligibility Test: Good Qualification Rate Among Working Teachers
A) A significant number of working teachers who appeared for the exam also qualified.
B) At the primary level, 93,387 out of the 1,22,405 working teachers who took the exam qualified, resulting in a success rate of 76.29%. At the upper-primary level, 113,384 of 146,394 participating working teachers were declared successful, for a qualification rate of 77.45%.
The primary-level UPTET determines eligibility for teaching classes 1 to 5, while the upper-primary-level exam is for classes 6 to 8. Candidates can view their UPTET 2026 results on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission: upessc.up.gov.in.
