BCCI May Soon Get a New President After Roger Binny

Roger Binny replaced former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, who has completed his three-year term.

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may soon get a new president when Roger Binny turns 70 on July 19. Rajeev Shukla, as BCCI vice-president, will be the likely successor. Binny, who was elected the 36th president of the BCCI in October 2022, will have to step down from his post as per the age limit rules imposed by the Lodha Committee.

Roger Binny replaced former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, who has completed his three-year term. Ahead of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September, Shukla, 65, will be the acting president for three months before presenting his candidature for the full-time president’s post.
