Atishi Singh Will be the Next Chief Minister of Delhi

Atishi's name has been approved in the legislative party meeting. On Tuesday morning, a meeting of the legislative party was called at the residence of AAP convener Sri Arvind Kejriwal in Civil Lines.

Atishi Marlena Singh or Atishi Singh will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi. She is going to become the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Atishi’s name has been approved in the legislative party meeting. On Tuesday morning, a meeting of the legislative party was called at the residence of AAP convener Sri Arvind Kejriwal in Civil Lines.

In this, the new leader of the House was elected unanimously. Atishi belongs to a Punjabi  family and is a graduate from Oxford University.

Atishi was elected MLA for the first time in the 2020 assembly elections and became a minister in the Kejriwal government for the first time in 2023. Atishi is considered to be Kejriwal’s close friend and confidant. She has been active in the organisation since the time of the Anna movement.

Currently, she has the responsibility of the maximum number of ministries and since Kejriwal went to jail in March, she has been seen handling the reins of the party as well as the government.

Atishi became MLA from Kalkaji assembly constituency for the first time in the year 2020. She defeated BJP candidate Dharamveer Singh by 11 thousand 393 votes. She defeated BJP candidate Dharamvir Singh by 11 thousand 393 votes. Atishi was born on 8 June 1981 in Delhi.

Her father Namvijay Singh has been a professor at Delhi University. Atishi did her schooling from New Delhi Springdale School. He studied history at St Stephen’s College and obtained a master’s degree from the University of Oxford on a Chevening Scholarship.

A few years later he earned his second master’s degree from Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar in educational research. She spent seven years in a small village in Madhya Pradesh, where she became involved with organic farming and progressive education systems.
