CUET UG Exam 2024: NTA Postpones the Exam to May 15 in Delhi
The postponement comes just hours before the exams are scheduled to begin on May 15 for exam centers across the country.
CUET UG Exam 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today postponed the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 for Delhi due to ‘manpower issues’.
The test papers (Chemistry – 306, Biology – 304, English – 101, and General Test – 501) scheduled on 15th May 2024 have been postponed for the candidates in Delhi due to unavoidable circumstances. All concerned candidates and stakeholders are informed about this change. The exam will now be conducted on 29th May 2024. Revised admit cards will be issued for candidates appearing in centers across Delhi, NTA said in an official notice.
The postponement comes just hours before the exams are scheduled to begin on May 15 for exam centers across the country. NTA claims that the reason behind this postponement is manpower related problems due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. “CUET UG Exam 2024 is conducted on a large scale and we had selected several examination centers and invigilators have been deployed for the process.
However, the examination scheduled for May 15 will be conducted in all other cities across the country (including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Noida) and abroad as per the previously informed schedule. Further examinations scheduled on other dates (16, 17, 18 May) will be conducted as per schedule at all centers including Delhi.
Recently, on May 13, NTA had released the admit cards for CUET UG 2024. However, in the evening NTA released another notice for the candidates requesting them to download the hall ticket only after the evening of 14th May. According to an official notice from NTA, it is recommended that candidates download the admit card on the evening of May 14 to ensure that any administrative changes in the exam center are reflected in the admit card.
CUET UG will be conducted from May 15 to 24 for approximately 13.48 lakh candidates across multiple examination centers in 380 cities including 26 cities outside India. While the examinations between May 15 and 18 will be held in pen-paper mode, the remaining examinations till May 24 will be conducted online.
