Strongest Passport in the World for 2025: A notable trend has emerged, indicating increased dynamism and passport strength. More than 80 countries have seen their passports improve by a minimum of 10 positions in the ranking. Furthermore, the global average of visa-free destinations is anticipated to increase from 58th in 2006 to 109 in 2025, as reported by the latest Henley Passport Index.
Singapore clearly tops this year’s Henley Passport Index, having the world’s most powerful passport, allowing visa-free entry to 193 out of 227 countries. Asian countries continue to lead the global mobility competition, with Japan and South Korea tied for second place, offering their citizens visa-free access to 190 locations.
Still, European countries hold the top five spots on the list of most powerful passports, while New Zealand is the only contender to break the regional dominance, sharing fifth place with Greece and Switzerland.

It is worth noting that in the last six months, India has made the biggest jump in its passport ranking. It has moved up eight places from 85th position to 77th in 2025, adding two more destinations to the list of visa-free travel, making visa-free access now possible in 59 countries.
