IIT-BHU and Japan’s Niigata University to Organize Joint Research, student exchange program.
Under this agreement the host university will have to waive examination fees, admission fees and tuition fees for exchange students.
Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi (IIT-BHU) and Niigata University of Japan have entered into an agreement to promote exchange and cooperation in education, joint research, conduct lectures and seminars and participation of students/faculty members has signed.
This collaboration will ensure that the ralations between the two are strengthened through this agreement. It will also encourage the students to get selected and enrolled by the home university. As per the agreement, both the parties have to ensure that an equal number of students are exchanged and participated.
Under this agreement, both universities will process and exchange students based on their academic achievements. In addition, the host university has to waive the examination fee, admission fee and tuition fee for exchange students.
During the initiation process of this agreement, a detailed presentation was made by Vikas Kumar Dubey, Dean (R&D) about the research activities at IIT-BHU by various departments and schools. His presentation also highlighted other potential areas of academic collaboration between the two universities.
On the other hand, Prof. Nozomu Tsuboi, Vice President, Global Engagement, Niigata University, made a presentation about the University and possible future collaborations. In addition, Professor Takamasa Suzuki made a detailed presentation on various research activities in the field of optics-photonics equipment.
