Canada Increases Financial Requirements: Canada has increased the financial funds requirement for international students to $2000 (Canadian), which will be effective for all foreign students from 1 September 2025. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has announced the revised financial aid requirement. Indian students will need to set aside a minimum of CAN$22,895 (₹14 lakh) for their living expenses, up from the previous amount of CAN$20,635.

This new financial requirements applies to international students enrolled in all provinces and territories except Quebec. In addition, international students must show that they have the funds to cover their living expenses and those of any family members living with them in Canada.
