Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has opened the registration window for undergraduate admission for the 2026 academic session and has invited eligible candidates to apply online through its admission portal.
Students who have qualified in the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 can now register for admission to various undergraduate programs of this central university. The application link is already active, and candidates can complete the registration till 25th July 2026 at 11:59 PM.
Being one of the leading Central Universities of India, BHU admits students to its undergraduate programs based on the CUET UG score. Candidates seeking admission must submit their CUET scorecards along with required documents and certificates while completing the online registration process.
BHU Admission: Important Dates and Eligibility
Only those candidates who appeared in CUET UG 2026 can apply. The university offers admission to a variety of undergraduate programs in different faculties. The main courses offered include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Language Courses, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Law and other undergraduate programs.
Separate seat allotment will be issued for programs that require practical examinations, which include Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA).
Online Document Verification
The university has also made its document verification process online. Candidates will be required to upload their academic and supporting documents through the BHU Samarth portal – bhucuet.samarth.edu.in – where their eligibility will be verified before admission is confirmed. Applicants are advised to have all the required documents ready before starting the registration, including the CUET UG 2026 scorecard and other certificates required for verification.
BHU Seat Allotment Process
According to the BHU Central Education Committee, the seat allotment process is expected to begin soon. The university has introduced changes to make the admission process simpler, faster, and more transparent.
Seats will be allotted based on several factors, including the candidate’s CUET UG 2026 score, their preferred course, and seat availability. The objective of this revised admission process is to minimise delays and ensure that the counselling process is completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Candidates are advised to complete their registration well in advance to avoid last-minute technical issues. Additionally, they should regularly check the admission portal for updates regarding seat allotment, the counselling schedule, and other admission-related information.
