MCC NEET PG 2026 Exam: A crucial three-hour MCC NEET PG 2026 exam for candidates at a test center in Jaipur’s Sitapura area was marred by chaos and mismanagement. On Sunday, the computer-based test faced repeated interruptions due to power outages and technical glitches.
Candidates alleged that the power supply at the center kept cutting out; some reported interruptions every 10 to 15 minutes. These issues made it difficult to log in, access questions, and continue with the exam. Frustrated by these disruptions, candidates later gathered outside the center to protest and demand justice.

Candidates described the situation as chaotic. One candidate said, “The exam started and ended 10 times within two hours. There was no official present to explain why this was happening.” The exam was scheduled to take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, but repeated interruptions prevented candidates from completing it properly. According to ACP Lalit Sharma, officials were informed that the center’s server was malfunctioning. He noted that while some candidates’ computers loaded successfully, others did not, leading to disruptions in the exam process.

Candidates also raised concerns regarding the facilities at the exam center. They alleged that there was no proper cooling arrangement inside the exam hall; there was neither adequate air conditioning nor fans or coolers. Arrangements for drinking water were also reported to be insufficient. For candidates who had spent months or even years preparing for one of the most critical exams of their careers, these disruptions only added to their distress. Protests by Students and Parents Outside the Center
The situation escalated after the three-hour exam concluded, as students gathered outside the center to protest. They demanded that their issues be fixed. Parents accompanying the candidates also appeared distressed; some became emotional, fearing that years of preparation had been jeopardised.
Candidates also expressed concern about the impact this disruption might have on their rankings. They argued that even a single mark could significantly influence a candidate’s rank and subsequent decisions regarding medical specialties and college selection.
MCC NEET PG 2026 Exam in Jaipur: NBEMS Announces Re-examination
A re-examination has been announced by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for the affected candidates. This MCC NEET PG 2026 re-examination will be held on September 5 for candidates who were affected by power outages at Test Center numbers 41,682 and 41,683 at the iON Digital Zone iDZ in Sitapura.
NBEMS stated that the exam could not be completed due to “internal power supply issues” at the center and apologized to the affected candidates.

Although the re-examination offers affected candidates another opportunity, students are seeking more. They argue that holding a re-examination for only a select group of candidates could create an inequitable situation, given that every single mark is crucial in determining ranks, medical specialties, and college choices.
Candidates are demanding a fair opportunity, a transparent inquiry, and justice. The exam, which was meant to test their preparation, has now become a test of the examination system itself.
