German Ambassador Takes a dig at H-1B Visa: While the US is trying to change H-1B visa rules overnight, Germany is taking a considered approach, offering Indian professionals not just jobs, but stability, respect, and a system that is not subject to constant changes. Amidst the ongoing tension between India and the US over the hike in H-1B work visa fees, the German ambassador to India has issued a statement welcoming Indians to the country.
In a post on X, Ambassador Philipp Ackermann said: “Germany stands out for its stable migration policies and offers excellent job opportunities for Indians in IT, management, science, and technology.” German Ambassador to India, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, said, “Indians in Germany are among the highest earners.
Good salaries mean they contribute to society. Our migration policy works like a German car – reliable, modern, and straightforward. We don’t make any major changes to our rules overnight.”
In a video, he stated, “Indians are among the highest earners in Germany. The average Indian working in Germany earns more than the average German citizen. This is good news, because higher salaries mean that Indians are making a significant contribution to our society and our well-being. We believe in hard work, and we believe in giving the best jobs to the most qualified people.
Our migration policy works much like a German car: it is reliable, modern, and robust. It will run smoothly and steadily, without any sudden changes or unexpected breakdowns. We don’t change our rules completely overnight. Highly skilled Indians are welcome in Germany.”
