Election Commission of India Rebutted Rahul Gandhi Over False Information, Calls his Maharashtra Poll Remarks as’ UNSUBSTANTIATED’
The ECI did not only issue a rebuttal but also called his allegations as ‘UNSUBSTANTIATED’.

Election Commission of India: On Saturday, the leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi of Congress party, received a sharp rebuttal issued by ‘The Election Commission Of India’ over his recent remarks on the results of Maharashtra elections. The ECI did not only issue a rebuttal but also called his allegations as ‘UNSUBSTANTIATED’.
ECI further cleared that the allegations that Rahul Gandhi made are affront to the rule of law, and a befitting reply to the very allegations that Rahul Gandhi made is publicly posted on the ECI’s website.

The ECI highlighted that such unsubstantiated allegations are not only just irresponsible but also insulting to the ECI as well as to the rule of law itself. ECI also Said that the facts ECI had brought in, in reply to Indian National Congress (INC) on 24th of December 2024 itself, which is also available on ECI’s website, seems to be deliberately being completely ignored while raising such queries again and again.
The ECI took a stance and added that: Any misinformation spread by anyone is a sign of disrespect and insult to the Law. It also brings harm to hundreds of representatives representing their respective political parties, and discourages the will to work within lakhs of election staff who are constantly working day and night. Spreading such misinformation and trying to defame the ECI by saying that it is compromised is completely irresponsible, non-ignorable, disrespectful and absurd.
