NIRF Rankings 202: The Ministry of Education has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2025 on nirfindia.org today, September 4. This is the tenth edition of the rankings, which lists the top universities, colleges and professional institutes across India.
National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is one of the most trusted frameworks for assessing higher education in the country, helping students, parents and policymakers make informed choices.
This year’s institute’s rankings include more than 16 categories, including Management, Engineering, Medical, and Law and Research institutions. A new category focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has also been introduced, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability in educational landscape. The NIRF rankings 2025 are based on teaching quality, research outputs, graduate success, inclusiveness and overall reputation.
