MCC Counselling Choice Locking: Important Rules for Locking Choices

I) OTP Requirement: You must manually lock your selected colleges and courses on the official MCC portal using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number and email.

II) Auto-locking Feature: If you fail to manually lock your selected choices by 6:00 PM today, the system will automatically lock your choices in their current order.

III) No Changes After Locking: Once locked, whether manually or automatically, no changes, edits, or reordering of your list for Round 1 will be possible under any circumstances.

IV) Option to Unlock Registration: If you have missed selecting specific quotas (such as the Delhi University/IP University pool), you must use the “Registration Unlocking” feature on the portal to rectify this before the locking deadline expires.

MCC Counselling Choice Locking: Last-Minute Strategy Tips

I) Check the order of preferred colleges: Ensure that your preferred medical or dental colleges are at the top of your list.

II) Do not wait until 5:55 PM: Heavy server traffic just before the 6:00 PM deadline can lead to technical glitches or delays in receiving OTPs. Try to lock your choices well before the deadline.

III) Save/Print the list: Take a printout or save a PDF of your locked choices for reference during seat allotment and physical reporting.
