IIM Ahmedabad’s Placement Audit Report for the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agri-Business Management

Placement Audit Report: Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) announced the release of its Audited Placement Report 2025 for the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agri-Business Management (MBA-FABM), which is compliant with the ‘Indian Placement Reporting Standards’ (IPRS). According to an official statement from the institute, the smooth execution of the placement process reflects IIMA’s strong engagement with industry, its robust placement process, and the flexibility it offers to both recruiters and students.

The statement said, “The industry warmly welcomed the MBA-FABM students, and many companies participated in the placement process. The placements saw a balance of roles across sectors such as agri-inputs, agri-technology, consulting, conglomerates, food processing, FMCG, commodity trading, and ESG consulting.”

According to the Placement Audit Report, fifty-two roles were offered for placement to 44 students. Thirty-five companies participated in the final placement process, and several new recruiters expressed interest in the program. Professor Vishwanath Pingali, Chairman of Placement at IIMA, expressed his delight at the confidence shown by recruiters in the graduates.

“It’s heartening to see recruiters showing confidence in our graduates. This is a sector-specific program, and recruiters, primarily from the food and agribusiness sector, have placed their trust in them. This reflects the strength of the team, the office, and the processes we follow,” the President said.

Siddhartha Choudhary, Recruitment Secretary, MBA-FABM 2025, said, “The placement of the PGP-FABM 2025 class defines its relevance in the industry. This year, both existing recruiters and new partners have provided a wealth of opportunities to our students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. This process serves as a perfect match between student and recruiter, proving that the FABM program creates skilled leaders who are ready to innovate and lead the food and agribusiness sector.”

IIM Ahmedabad has regularly released third-party audited placement reports in accordance with the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) since 2011, establishing its position as a leading provider among Indian business schools.

According to the report, the MBA-FABM program is “the world’s number one program in the food and agri-business sector.”

+ 44 candidates have been confirmed for placement, with an average package of ₹22.21 lakh and a maximum package of ₹41.83 lakh.

Placement figures are based on maximum earning potential (MEP), not cost to company (CTC).
