Addressing the protest led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) near Parliament, actor and BJP MP Hema Malini remarked that dialogue, not protests, is the way to resolve issues. The actor-politician attended the first day of Parliament’s Monsoon Session in New Delhi on Monday and spoke to the media after the session.
Responding to questions regarding the protesters’ demands, Hema told the media, “If there is a problem, it should be discussed properly. Protesting in this manner won’t achieve anything.”
Hema Malini: Students Should not be Misled
Speaking about students’ participation in the movement, Hema Malini defended the central government’s work in the education sector and urged protesters to engage with the government instead of taking to the streets.
“Our Modi government has always stood by the youth and the education system. It has done a lot of work for them. The protests you are currently carrying out are pointless. I would say this should be resolved through dialogue. We should talk to the government,” she said.
She further said, “Students should not be misled. They should be told clearly what the problem is, instead of disturbing them and using them to get their point across.”

On the Demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation
When asked about the protesters demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Hema declined to comment in detail. “I would not like to say much on this subject right now. Our government will take the appropriate stand on this matter.”
