Mukesh Ambani (Indian Billionaire) Gives Rs 151 Crore as Endowment to ‘ICT’ Mumbai

Mukesh Ambani on Friday was at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), he stayed there for over 3 hours. ICT used to be known as the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT) in his time. There he was as a guest attending this function to publish the biography of Professor MM Sharma titled ‘Divine Scientist’.
He also recalled how the memories of the first lecture he attended at UDCT by Professor Sharma motivated him and also later how Prof. Sharma played the role of silent weaver of Indian economic reforms.
Prof. Sharma stressed to the policymakers that the only way that would lead India towards growth was to break-free the Indian industries from license-permit-raj, which will allow a bigger and a broader scale of growth to Indian players, and reduce the dependence on imports and compete globally.
Ambani said that Just Like his father Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, Prof. MM Sharma also had a burning desire to change the stagnant Indian industry from quenching scarcity to global leadership.
He further also said, referring to Prof. and his father, that; both of these two visionaries had a strong faith that science and technology in collaboration with private entrepreneurship will open the floodgates of growth and opportunities. .”

Speaking of ‘Guru Dakshina’, Mukesh Ambani announced the massive Rs151 Crore unconditional grant to ICT according to Prof. Sharma’s instructions.
While referring to this massive grant to ICT, Ambani said “When he (Prof. Sharma) tells us something, we just listen. We do not think. He told me ‘Mukesh…. You have to do something big for ICT, and I am very pleased to announce that for Professor MM Sharma”.
