Lata-Mangeshkar (Lata Di) is showing signs of improvement but is in the ICU, her doctor said on Saturday. The 92-year-old singer tested positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai on January 8.
Sharing the health update, Dr Pratit Samdani, Associate Professor, Breach Candy Hospital, told PTI, “She is showing signs of improvement. She is in ICU. It is difficult to say for how many days she will be in the hospital.” A close friend of the family Anusha Srinivasan Iyer also said that the veteran singer is doing well.
On Friday, rumors started circulating on social media that Lata Di health had worsened. Anusha Srinivasan Iyer had rubbished the rumours, saying, “An honest appeal. Please don’t fan any false news… The family and doctors need their place.”
