India and Pakistan Agreed to Stop Firing and Military Action From 5 pm Today.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also announced on X that an understanding has been reached about the halt of military actions.

India and Pakistan: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of the two countries communicated at 3:35 pm and agreed on this halt. Apart from this, it was also said that they will meet again for discussion on May 12, 2025 at noon. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also announced on X that an understanding has been reached about the halt of military actions. He reiterated India’s unwavering commitment to combat all forms of terrorism.
He wrote, “India has consistently taken a firm and unwavering stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It will continue to do so.” Earlier, US President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social, “After a long night of negotiations brokered by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries for using common sense and excellent intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
