JEE Advanced: 2025 Exam Date Announced, Know Details Here

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced exam will consist of two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration.

JEE Advanced: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has announced the schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025. As per the notification, JEE (Advanced) 2025 is scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced exam will consist of two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration. It is compulsory to appear in both the papers.” The exam will have two sessions: Paper 1 will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Paper 2 will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The time allotted for each exam will be three hours. Recently, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) withdrew the previous eligibility guidelines regarding the number of attempts for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. The decision comes after the recent move to increase the number of attempts from two to three for the current year.

Eligibility Criteria for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2025:

Candidates born on or after October 1, 2000 are eligible for eligibility. A five-year age relaxation is provided for SC, ST and Divyang candidates born on or after October 1, 1995. Candidates have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for the first time appearing for Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2023, 2024 or 2025.

+ Candidates who have appeared in Class 12 exams in 2022 or earlier are not eligible, irrespective of the subjects taken.

+ Candidates who take admission to the preparatory course in any IIT in 2024 are eligible to apply Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025.

+ Candidates whose admission in any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has been cancelled for any reason are ineligible to appear in the exam.
