1. Main Topics:

Focus on the main chapters of the syllabus and the topics that have been given more weightage. Spend the rest of your time focusing on these ideas, emphasizing on the parts that need more practice. Focus on revising frequently asked questions and key concepts instead of memorizing.

2. Revision:

Avoid starting completely new topics at this time unless absolutely necessary. Instead, revise what you have learnt earlier. For important formulas, definitions and points, make short summaries, notes or flashcards. In the days leading up to the exam, these can be used as efficient revision tools.

3. Sleep Well And Eat Well:

Resist the urge to stay up late studying as exams approach. Sleeping 6 to 7 hours a night is essential for maintaining concentration and memory. Eat nutritious foods that boost brain function, such as fruits, vegetables and nuts. Avoid caffeine and drink plenty of water as it can make you more anxious.

4. Stay Positive:

Everyone learns differently and at their own pace, so don’t compare yourself to your peers. Trust your preparation and focus on your progress. Remind yourself that you are set to do well because you have worked hard.

5. Reduce Stress:

Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a few seconds and then slowly exhale through your mouth. To feel more comfortable, repeat for one to two minutes. Visualise yourself sitting confidently in the exam room and answering the questions with ease. This can boost your confidence. Remember, it’s normal to feel a little anxious – it shows that you care about the result. However, it’s important not to let it overwhelm you.
