Why WBJEEB 2025 Result Delayed?

According to a media report, the results were delayed once again due to contempt proceedings initiated against the state in the High Court. Justice Kaushik Chanda of the Calcutta High Court reportedly received complaints through emails from merit-listed candidates in the JEMAS-PG (medical postgraduate) exam and the WBJEE board, following which the court took suo motu action.

According to education reports, “The WBJEE 2025 result has been stayed due to fresh contempt proceedings filed after some students approached Justice Kaushik Chanda. The High Court has said that the Supreme Court has not stayed the order passed by the High Court on May 21, 2024, regarding OBC reservation.”
