Top 10 Colleges of DU: Delhi University (DU) is one of the most popular universities in India, and is also known for having some of the best colleges in the country. Delhi University is a collegiate public central university located in New Delhi and the university was established in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly. Delhi University is one of the prestigious, largest and most popular universities in India.
The admission process will start in the first week of June. After 12th exam, most of the students apply to DU for undergraduate studies due to the brand value and comparatively low fee structure as it is a government funded university.
The North and South campuses in Delhi have 16 facilities, 86 academic departments, 77 affiliated colleges and 5 other institutions. The affiliated college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.
A total of five colleges featured in the list of top 10 colleges in India in this year’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Miranda House retained its first position in the college-wise NIRF rankings in 2023. The college declined to 70 in TLR, RP and OI parameters from 78.35, 56.66 and 77.06 in 2022.
Hindu College also retained its No. 2 position in TLR, RP and OI parameters with scores declining from 78.35, 56.66 and 77.06 in 2022 to 70.10, 55.41 and 75.94 respectively in 2023. 2023 saw a slight increase in PR parameters to 70 .10, 55.41 and 75.94 respectively. A slight increase in PR parameters was observed.
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College is at number six, an increase of one place from the 2022 ranking. The college witnessed an increase in RP and PR parameters. There has been a slight decline in graduation results and teaching learning and resources compared to last year.
Interestingly, Kirori Mal College (KMC) and Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) have shared the ninth rank this year. While KMC has slightly improved its rank from 10 last year to 9 this year, LSR has seen a decline – from 5 last year to 9 this year. Given below are the top 10 colleges of DU as per NIRF 2023.
