Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and IIT Kanpur to Jointly Launch PG Programme in Healthcare Management

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML)is known for its flagship PGP program has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to initiate a collaborative postgraduate program in Healthcare Management.

This postgraduate program in Healthcare Management is intended for professionals from various fields, including healthcare practitioners and physicians in public hospitals. The curriculum is structured to integrate knowledge of medical technology with the principles of business administration.

The joint programme will work in collaboration with IIT Kanpur’s Centre of Excellence in Digital Health, which will work with international institutions important to India’s healthcare landscape. The initiative aims to create leaders equipped to tackle the emerging challenges of healthcare management and promote the integration of cutting-edge technology in medical practice.

Professor Archana Shukla, Director, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), and Professor Manindra Aggarwal, Director, IIT Kanpur signed the MoU in the presence of senior faculty members. Professor Archana Shukla, Director, IIM Lucknow, said, “We believe this joint programme will foster innovative solutions that can lead to significant improvements in healthcare management in India and globally.”

The Postgraduate Joint Degree Programme in Healthcare Management is an important element of our Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology initiative, which aims to improve the integration of medical technology and innovation within our educational framework.

By leveraging the strengths of both institutions, we are preparing our graduates to address healthcare challenges with a holistic and forward-looking approach.”
