IIM-Ahmedabad Strengthen Admission Criteria for Admission to PGP 2026-28, Check New Norms

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-Ahmedabad) has raised the criteria for CAT candidates this year. The institute has raised the minimum percentile requirements for selection to its flagship Postgraduate Programme (PGP) for the 2026-28 batch.

As per the new admission criteria, candidates from the general and economically weaker sections will now have to score an overall 95 CAT percentile, as well as at least 85 percentile in each of the sectional papers – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).

The revised cut-off criteria indicate that only the top achieving candidates will be considered for IIM Ahmadabad’s Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI). Screening is given a significant weightage of 65% in this selection process, while the remaining 35% is determined by the candidate’s academic performance and profile-based Application Rating (AR).
