DU UG Admissions 2025: Dean and Joint Dean Guidance

The webinar, which focused on undergraduate admissions for the upcoming academic session, was addressed by DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi and Joint Dean Anand Sonkar.

They urged students to fill in their application form carefully, ensuring accurate details including name, parents’ names, category and clear photograph and digital signature.

Dean admissions Harneet Gandhi highlighted that mistakes made in filling the CUET application cannot be rectified later.

From this year, students can choose up to five subjects in CUET, which covers 37 subjects including the General Aptitude Test. It is important to choose CUET subjects that match those studied in Class 12.  Those without these subjects are ineligible for Bachelor of Commerce Hons. (B.Com Hons.) but can apply for the B.Com programme.

Responding to a question from a science student wishing to pursue a degree in commerce, Mr. Gandhi explained that for BCom (Hons), students must have studied either Mathematics or Accountancy in Class 12. Without these subjects they are ineligible for B.Com (Hons), but can apply for the B.Com programme.
