The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has initiated the application process for its paid internship program for the year 2026. This initiative offers engineering students an opportunity to engage in defense research and the development of cutting-edge technology.

The application process commenced on April 1, 2026, and will remain open until May 15, 2026. Interested candidates may apply via DRDO’s official careers portal, drdo.gov.in, before the deadline. Selected candidates will be notified via email.

Bennett University

The duration of this internship program is expected to range from four to six months. It is scheduled to begin in May or June 2026. Selected candidates will receive a total stipend of ₹30,000 for the entire duration of the internship. Candidates who complete the internship will also be awarded a certificate.

Final-year students pursuing a B.E., B.Tech., M.E., M.Tech., or any other engineering discipline are eligible to apply. Students with academic backlogs are not eligible. This internship program is being offered by the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), a research laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation under the Ministry of Defence. The internship will be conducted at either Delhi or Haldwani. Students may refer to the detailed notification for further information regarding the vacancies available at each location.
