Student Protests: Amidst ongoing protests regarding the NEET paper leak, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan submitted his resignation from the Council of Ministers on Saturday.
In a letter addressed to his “young friends,” Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that, in view of the situation unfolding at Jantar Mantar and across the country, he had sent his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“I have been dedicated to students, teachers, and educational reform for over four decades. I have always believed that a strong, inclusive, and visionary education system forms the foundation of a strong nation. I deeply respect the aspirations, sentiments, and legitimate expectations of the country’s youth.
Realising the dreams of India’s young generation has been a moral obligation for all of us in public life. I express my gratitude to the Honourable Prime Minister for allowing me to serve the nation under his visionary leadership,” Pradhan said.
“In light of the situation at Jantar Mantar and across the country, and to ensure that anti-national forces do not exploit this situation, national unity remains intact, no student’s future gets entangled in legal complexities, and our children devote their time to studies and focus on building their careers, I have sent my resignation to the Honourable Prime Minister,” he added.
