IIM-Kozhikode Inducts MBA batch of 2025-27, With Over half Candidates Being Women
This is the fourth instance in the last decade when IIMK has enrolled a higher number of women than men in its full-time MBA cohort.

IIM-Kozhikode: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has officially welcomed 586 students to its full-time postgraduate programmes for the 2025-2027 academic year. Impressively, the institute has achieved a gender diversity rate of 51% women across its three MBA offerings. This is the fourth instance in the last decade when IIM-Kozhikode has enrolled a higher number of women than men in its full-time MBA cohort.
Notably, the flagship PGP-29 cohort comprises 489 students, of which 55% are women, a significant increase compared to the 36% representation of women in the national CAT 2024 applicant pool.
The group consists of participants enrolled in the Institute’s premier Postgraduate Programmes, specifically the Postgraduate Programme in Finance (PGP-Fin) and the Postgraduate Programme in Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM).
The induction ceremony also saw the admission of the 19th batch of doctoral scholars to the Institute’s PhD-level Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). The PGP group is also academically diverse, with 53% of students coming from non-engineering backgrounds.
In terms of geographical representation, students from Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh together make up 35% of the batch, while 23 students are from the host state of Kerala. Seven international students from Canada, USA, UK, and the UAE are in the PGP-29 group.
