Chandigarh University founder Satnam Singh Sandhu is also the university’s chancellor and a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha. He founded the Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) in Landran, Mohali in 2001, followed by Chandigarh University in 2012. Beyond his academic endeavors, Sandhu is deeply involved in community health and wellness initiatives, overseeing two NGOs: the Indian Minorities Foundation and the New India Development Foundation.
