Ambedkar University Delhi Begins Registration for UG Programs; Admissions Based on CUET UG 2026 Scores

At least five new undergraduate programs are being introduced, alongside one-year postgraduate courses in seven subjects under the Postgraduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF).

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has initiated the admission process for its undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the 2026-27 academic session. Established by the Delhi government, the university will offer admission to 23 undergraduate programs in the Social Sciences and Humanities, with a total of 1,194 seats. Admissions for both three-year and four-year courses under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 will be based on CUET-UG 2026 scores.

Applicants are advised to register on the university’s CUET UG admission portal and carefully review the program-specific eligibility criteria, admission guidelines, reservation policies, fee structures, and important dates before applying. Ambedkar University Delhi has urged candidates to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid technical issues and to check the official website for updates regularly.

Officials confirmed to the news agency PTI that postgraduate programs such as MA in Creative Writing and MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts) will be launched in the new session. The undergraduate offerings include a BA in Museology, Culture, and Heritage Management, which officials described as the “first program of its kind at the university level in India.”

Ambedkar University Delhi is also launching a BA in Visual Arts and revamping its mathematics curriculum by replacing the BA (Honours) in Mathematics with a BSc in Mathematics. Officials stated that the revised program will also include minor subjects in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) on June 23. Only one candidate achieved a perfect 100th percentile score in four out of the five chosen subjects.

According to data released by the NTA, 22 candidates secured the 100th percentile in three subjects, while 180 candidates achieved this feat in two subjects. A total of 3,214 candidates secured the 100th percentile in a single subject.

Women accounted for nearly half of the total registrations for CUET UG 2026; 774,607 female candidates applied for the exam, compared to 794,257 male candidates. However, the number of women who actually appeared for the exam exceeded that of men; 585,596 women took the test, whereas the number of men was 578,500. Three candidates registered under the third-gender category, two of whom appeared for the exam. In total, 1,164,098 candidates appeared for CUET UG 2026.
