Students who have successfully cleared either the JEE Main 2025 or the JEE Advanced 2025 are authorised to take part in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority counselling and seat allocation process. This year’s counselling will take place over five rounds, including a dedicated final round specifically for IITs and NIT+ institutions. Students who pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will have the opportunity to choose architecture-specific options starting from June 8, following the announcement of the AAT results.

As per the official schedule, the online registration and choice filling window will open on June 3, 2025, marking the beginning of the admission process for engineering courses in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government-funded technical institutes.
