NEET UG 2026 Counselling MCC Round 1 Results: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has changed the result date for the first round of the NEET UG 2026 counselling. According to the latest announcement, the result for NEET UG 2026 counselling round 1 will now be declared on August 21.
Following seat allotment, candidates who accept their allotted seats must report to the assigned institute between August 22 and August 31, 2026. As per the new schedule, data verification will take place on September 1. The MCC has also announced that the state counselling process for round 1 will now continue until August 27.
To ensure strict adherence to the schedule and considering the limited time available for counselling, the medical body has instructed all participating institutes and colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as working days.
The revised counselling schedule is available on the committee’s official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates allotted a seat have the option to either ‘freeze’ or ‘float’ their allotment based on their preference.
Candidates who choose the ‘float’ option to participate in subsequent counselling rounds for seat upgradation can complete admission formalities, including document verification, online within the stipulated timeframe. During this time, they do not need to physically report to the assigned institute, submit original documents, or pay the admission fee.
In accordance with the reforms introduced this year, their provisional admission will remain valid even as they participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.
