Guidelines for Exam Day: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET-UG re-exam tomorrow, June 21. More than 2.2 million (22 lakh) medical aspirants are expected to appear for the exam at centers across India and abroad.
Amidst strict security arrangements, candidates will undergo document verification and dress code checks at the exam centers. To avoid any last-minute issues, students are advised to carefully follow the NTA guidelines.
According to the official schedule, entry into the exam centers will begin at 11:00 AM. The gates will close at 1:30 PM, and no candidate will be allowed entry thereafter. The exam will commence at 2:00 PM and conclude at 5:15 PM, giving candidates a total duration of 195 minutes. This year, candidates will have four pages in the question booklet for rough work, whereas previously, only two pages were provided.

Exam Day: Documents Required to be Carried
Candidates must carry the new admit card issued for the re-exam; the old hall ticket will not be accepted. Students should carry a color printout of the admit card and affix a postcard-sized photograph in the designated space.
Carrying an original government-issued photo identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, or driving license, is mandatory. Photocopies or digital copies displayed on mobile phones will not be accepted.
Candidates should also carry at least two additional passport-sized photographs. These must be the same photographs uploaded during the application process, as they may be required for attendance-related formalities. Students registered under the PwD/PwBD category must carry their original disability certificate issued by a competent authority. Dress Code and Prohibited Items
The NTA has instructed candidates to wear light-colored, half-sleeved shirts or T-shirts and plain trousers or pants. Regarding footwear, only slippers or low-heeled sandals are permitted. Candidates should avoid wearing full-sleeved clothing, garments with large buttons or heavy embroidery, shoes, socks, and any form of jewellery, including rings, chains, and earrings. Items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, wallets, belts, papers, notes, and food or beverages are strictly prohibited inside the examination center.
Candidates wearing religious attire such as a hijab, turban, or kirpan are advised to arrive early to allow sufficient time for a thorough security check.
